Nestled in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, Berkshire Wildlife Services operates on 50 acres of land. Orphaned and injured wildlife are given the opportunity to grow and heal, while being afforded the security of seclusion.
Once the injured have recovered, they are returned to their familiar territory to resume their lives. We take into account their safety when placing them back into the wild. They are healed, vaccinated and ready to thrive!
When the orphan babies have grown, they are either returned to their home or released to a prearranged rural location. Food is left out intermittently to assist the transition and to help the animals while they are honing their hunting skills.
